Stratford-upon-Avon - a unique and vibrant market town

It is unique because it is the birthplace of William Shakespeare and vibrant because it attracts in the region of 1.2 million visitors every year. Now a multi-million pound initiative is underway to enable Stratford to meet the challenges demanded of a town that holds a position of global importance.

Known as World Class Stratford, the aim of the project is to transform the town’s image in a variety of ways to enable it to truly fulfil its role as one of the world’s most iconic locations.

Stratford District Council listens and responds to requests from residents for more colour in the Bancroft Gardens

More flower beds are being created in the Bancroft Gardens this week in response to requests from residents, elected members of the Town and District Councils and Stratford in Bloom.
