Championing the town's iconic status at the cultural heart of England 

The Cultural Consortium was established in July 2008 to transform and re-energise the cultural offer for visitors and residents in the town. It seeks to deliver a long-lasting legacy through combining innovative creative ideas with strategic thinking; developing partnership working and new regional, national and global networks. It will begin with four high-profile events and festivals in the town in 2009.
